Changing College Drinking Culture

Let’s talk about something real

Alcohol is an addictive substance, and college students aged 18 to 25 are at the highest risk for substance use disorders. But here’s the good news—change is happening, and you can be part of it.

Recovery is possible, and more students are starting to recover out loud, breaking the stigma around addiction. Many colleges offer recovery programs specifically designed to support students. If you’re interested in learning more, reach out to a professor or a campus counselor—they’ll guide you toward the right resources.

Here’s the truth: the drinking culture on campus is shaped by attitudes. That means you can rewrite the narrative. Host a mocktail night with your friends, or check out sober social events on campus. These activities are not only fun, but they also show that you don’t need alcohol to have a good time.

Students everywhere are redefining what it means to have a good time in college.

A positive sobriety movement has begun! Let’s make a change, one step at a time. 💪
