Thrive Global Project was founded by a family. The Dashiell Family to be exact. The Dashiell Family like many families has a loyalty and love that is contained within the names that grace their family tree. There are stories and memories that bind those names together and have held them tight for many years. Each one of them holds a special place within that close-knit community. They are a support system of constant encouragement, selfless love and countless apologies just like many other families that inhabit this world.
Thrive Global Project is not just about our family though. It is about many families coming together to impact students across the globe! If your family is made up of 100 or just 1, impact can be made. We just created the model to make it easy.
We depend on the Dashiell family and other families to cover everything from staff salaries to basic office systems to office rent and supplies. These donors are some of our most passionate and committed: their investment fuels our long-term mission, our ability to scale as an organization and our mission to continue using 100% of public donations for resources to the needy.
Our family has a saying that is coined by one of the other brothers in the Dashiell Family, Bill. He always says when one of our family members goes out of the way, “it is just what we do.” It is a humble phrase that is not looking for thanks or recognition because it is wrapped up in love for others. It has become a family mantra and we want it to be yours too.
Our goal for the 100% transparency is ambitious. To support our growth, we bring together a like-minded community of families to fund our operating budget on a regular basis.

Their support paves the way for us to continue doing what many said was impossible: scale the organization using 100% transparency and give educational resources to every vulnerable student on the planet.
